Kerkythea Rendering
I was pleased to find that the free Kerkythea renderer creates beautiful results. Getting started is straightforward due to the video tutorials. The meaning of more detailed settings was not as quick to grasp, because documentation is split between tutorials and a variety of forums.
I rendered a lamp model created in Rhino to see how the geometry transfers and to check the rendering quality. Using the .3DS file format export from Rhino, the translation lost the curve of the background half-cylinder but carried more complex curves.
If you can export a computer model in OBJ or 3DS format, you can use this Kerkythea renderer for free.
