Sustainable Ecovillages - Triple Threat Project
This spring, architecture students from University of Oregon envisioned new urban villages for three Portland sites. Tommy White, Trang Nguyen and Adam Franch created a provocative scheme with a block of modular cross-ventilated flats facing a sculptural network of community spaces. Neighbors could interact in porch spaces and walkways and see each other doing laundry or working out.
Adam Franch explains the scheme to the site’s owner Rik Ehmann, his architects Diana Moosman and Laurie Simpson and visiting reviewers.
